Cookies
We use cookies on our website. These are small files which are automatically created by your browser and which are saved on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies cause no damage to your device and they do not contain any viruses, trojans or other malware. The cookie stores information obtained in connection with the specific device being used. This does not mean, however, that this gives us direct knowledge about your identity. The purpose of cookies on the one hand is to give you a more pleasant experience when you use our website. That is why we use so-called session cookies to identify that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site. In addition, we use temporary cookies to optimise the user-friendliness of our website. These are stored for a defined period of time on your device. When you revisit our site to use our service, the cookies automatically detect that you have already been on our website. Since your previous inputs and settings have been stored, there is no need to enter them again. Another reason for using cookies is to collect statistical data on the use of our website. We evaluate this data in order to optimise the service we provide to you (see “Analytics tools” below).

When you revisit our site, these cookies allow us to automatically identify that you have already been on our website. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time. The data processed by cookies are necessary for the indicated purposes in order to safeguard our legitimate interests as well as those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You may, however, configure your browser in such a way that no cookies are stored on your computer or that a notification always appears before a new cookie is created. If you completely deactivate cookies, however, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website.

Analytics tools
The tracking tools listed below which are used by us are based on Art. 6. (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Our objective in using the tracking tools is to continually optimise our website and ensure that its design meets the needs of users. We also use the tracking tools to collect statistics on the use of our website and evaluate this data in order to optimise the service we provide to you. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the legislation cited above. Please refer to the individual tracking tools for the purposes of the data processing and the data categories concerned.

Google Analytics
In order to continually optimise our website and ensure that its design meets the needs of users, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (www.google.de/intl/en/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereafter referred to as “Google”). In this context, pseudonymised user profiles are created and cookies are deployed (see “Cookies” above). The information about your use of this website generated by the cookie, such as

  • browser type/version,
  • operating system used,
  • referrer URL (the site previously visited),
  • host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
  • time of the server request,

is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The information is used to evaluate use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide additional services connected with use of the website and the internet for the purposes of market research and the needs-oriented design of this website. This information may also be transmitted to third parties, provided this is required by law or insofar as third parties process these data as a contractor. Your IP address is never combined with other Google data. The IP addresses are rendered anonymous to ensure that association with a user is impossible (IP masking). You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the corresponding setting of your browser software; we must point out, however, that doing this may mean that you are not able to make full use of all the functions of this website. You can also prevent Google’s collection and processing of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en). As an alternative to the browser add-on, in particular for mobile device browsers, you can also click on this link to prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics. This sets an opt-out cookie to prevent the collection of your data when you visit this website in the future. The opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only applies to our website, and it is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will have to set the opt-out cookie again. For more information on data privacy in connection with Google Analytics, click the following support link (support.google.com/analytics 6004245?hl=en).

Matomo
We use the open source software Matomo to analyse and statistically evaluate the use of our website. Cookies are used for this purpose (see section on “Cookies”). The information about the use of the website generated by the cookie is transferred to our servers and aggregated in pseudonymised user profiles. We use the information to evaluate the use of our website and ensure that its design meets the needs of users. The information is not forwarded to third parties. The IP address is never connected with other personal data of the user. The IP addresses are rendered anonymous to ensure that association with a user is impossible (IP masking). Your visit to this website is currently being recorded by Matomo web analytics. Click here (https://matomo.org/privacy-policy) to deactivate the recording of your visit.

Social media plugins
We use social plugins on our website in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR to broaden awareness of our company. The underlying promotional purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR. The respective service provider is responsible for guaranteeing operation in accordance with data protection legislation. We embed these plugins using what is known as the “two-click method” to provide the maximum of protection to our website visitors.

Facebook
Our website uses social media plugins from Facebook to create a more personal user experience. We use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” buttons for this purpose. This is a feature offered by Facebook. If you visit a page on our website containing such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser by Facebook and it is then embedded into the website. The embedding of the plugins lets Facebook know that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or you are not logged in to Facebook at the time. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly associate the visit to our website with your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “LIKE” or “SHARE” buttons, the corresponding information is likewise directly transmitted to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends. Facebook may use this information for promotional or market research purposes and to ensure a needs-based design of Facebook pages. For this, Facebook creates user profiles, interest profiles and relationship profiles, e.g. in order to evaluate your use of our website with respect to the adverts shown to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website, and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to associate the data collected on our website with your Facebook account, you would need to log out of Facebook before visiting our website. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook as well as your related rights and the settings you can adjust to protect your privacy, please see the Privacy Policy (www.facebook.com/about/privacy/) of Facebook.

Google Ads makes it possible to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters or has entered certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). In addition, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on the user data available at Google (e.g. location data and interests) (target group targeting). As a website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and which and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Google Ads Remarketing
The website operator uses the functions of Google Ads Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
With Google Ads Remarketing, we can assign people who use or interact with our online offer to specific target groups in order to subsequently show them interest-based advertising in the Google advertising network (remarketing or retargeting).
In addition, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked to Google's cross-device functions. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your previous usage and surfing behavior on one device (e.g. PC) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. cell phone or tablet).
