For example, brass is converted by oxidation into copper oxide and zinc oxide. The oxide layer generated, which is matched to the base material, increases the corrosion resistance, and also provides greater wear resistance.
However, a burnished component or profile not only fulfils functional requirements. Such ‘burnished’ surfaces also offer excellent possibilities in terms of design.
The piece de resistance is the ArtSurMind concept traditionally used for exhibitions. Intarsia is also offered, by means of partly cast inlays. CNC grinding machines ensure that the colour and surface structure is maintained for medium and large series. The roughness depth creates unique effects under light spectra.
