The ST2 punching technology production area is to be expanded.

Due to the good development of the IsoProfil Professional ST2 division and the great demand for "transport and logistics" products, IsoProfil is planning to expand production of universal AV1 drainage profiles at its Wuppertal plant. Advisory board member Dieter Schmidt has set a tight schedule.

IsoProfil has invested around €800,000 in the new production of drainage profiles. In the semi-automatic machine, the workpiece carriers pass through 15 stations, one after the other, each carrying out different operations.

Upstream cut-off machines feed the necessary components into the plant. All in all, the machine produces 12 variants from seven individual parts, with the variant changeover taking place without tools and in under 3 minutes. With a throughput time of 15 minutes per original bar – up to the fully assembled drain profile – an increase in capacity of almost 80% is achieved.
