"Some really good news"

Bleak financial prospects for Wuppertal? By no means. Mayor Peter Jung presented the city's ambitious consolidation efforts to family entrepreneurs in the region…and managed to win them over.

"He's one of us!" said Axel Vollmann, an entrepreneur from Gevelsberg, about the Lord Mayor in view of his own family business origins and the 60 invited guests. The business network wanted to hear at first hand how Jung intends to lead the city out of the financial crisis.
